At Berg Wander Kennels I believe in keeping my Customers (current and future) well informed and educated about their pet's care and ever changing needs, helping them to expand their knowledge and education about their pets not only with behavior and training aspects but also with basic preventive grooming and health management so that their owners may better help to serve their current and future groomers, dog trainers and veterinarians with their pets needs. Some of the beliefs I carry are: owning a pet should not cost an arm and a leg for quality loving care, I try to keep my grooming and training prices at an amount that I myself would agree to pay someone else for their services, being able to place and view myself in the "average pet owners shoes". With the rising cost of living in todays world training and grooming your pet should be something that every owner can have access to and afford and not have to look upon as a luxury . If you are a perspective customer that thinks and believes inexpensive pricing means you will not receive the best quality services for yourself and pets then please keep searching elsewhere. But if you are looking to be treated with honesty and respect for yourself, your pets and your pocketbook then search no further! We are here to help! I treat each dog and owner as individuals when tailoring a grooming and or training program. I Have acquired this knowledge through studying under many different trainers both in America and from Germany that carried with them as many different styles and approaches to training and handling large animals such as horses to small animals such as ferrets. Also I have gained vasts amount of knowledge from working directly with a large amount of customers both through grooming and training of their pets that have displayed as large amounts of diverse characters and behaviors both good and bad. Some softer temperament characters of dogs (and pets in general) will require more motivational and positive handling and training methods, while harder more dominant personalities of dogs (and pets in general) will require firmer methods of handling, coupled with corrective measures to help stop and to change bad behaviors. Each owner will be asked a series of questions about their pets upon the initial telephone consultation when booking an appointment, please be honest about your pet's behaviors good and bad as this will only help me to help you. Do you have kids in your household? I like to get kids involved in the daily training and care of their pets also! While all ages of children should be supervised by their parents while training and handling the family pets, there is no reason why they should not be involved either. If you have a family pet then all members should be involved and the pet handled in the same exact manner by every family member!
